LC State Men’s Basketball Named CCC Team of the Week After Senior Weekend Success

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Lewis-Clark State Men’s Basketball team was named the Cascade Conference Under Armour Team of the Week after key victories over No. 24 Oregon Tech and Southern Oregon. The wins earned the Warriors home court advantage in the quarterfinal round of the CCC tournament.

 

The Warrior men opened the weekend with an 87-70 victory over OIT behind 55.7% shooting from the field. Tied at the half, LC State shot 60% in the second half to overcome the Owls. Alton Hamilton notched his 10th double-double of the season with 22 points and 14 rebounds, and John Lustig added 20 points.

 

LC State defeated Southern Oregon on Saturday with big performances from Hamilton, Lustig and Dylan Skaife. Tied once again at the half, the Warriors shot efficiently to sweep the weekend. LC State shot 54.8% from the field and 43.8% from the field 3-point range with four 3-pointers from Skaife as part of his career-high 18 points. Hamilton (22 points) and Lustig (20 points) replicated their scoring efforts from the night before and Hamilton grabbed 12 rebounds.

 

This is the second time this season the Warrior men have been named the CCC Team of the Week.

 

UP NEXT

The Warriors will face Corban (Ore.) and Bushnell (Ore.) on the road to close out the regular season.
