
Idaho’s gas prices continue to edge lower.
According to the American Automobile Association, Idaho’s average price for regular is $3.89 per gallon, which is about a nickel less than a week ago, 25 cents less than a month ago, and 45 cents less than a year ago.
Meanwhile, the national average currently sits at $3.49 per gallon, which is also about a nickel less than a week ago, 33 cents less than a month ago and 25 cents less than a year ago.
Idaho currently ranks 8th in the country for most expensive fuel, while Washington has the nation’s 3rd-highest price at $4.70 per gallon.
According to the Energy Information Administration, fuel demand decreased slightly while
inventories increased – a typical trend this time of year. And experts say if it continues, cheaper prices may follow.
Motorists in Coeur d’Alene are paying the highest price per gallon in Idaho at $3.97, while Idaho Falls and Pocatello have the state’s lowest average price at $3.85. Lewiston’s average price per gallon is currently $3.90.
