Three people charged in an alleged attempted murder scheme appeared in court Wednesday in Lewiston for their arraignments, with one of the men pleading not guilty.

57-year-old Robert LaPlante of Clarkston pleaded not guilty to the attempted first-degree murder of Loyal Otis Dickson Jr. before 2nd District Judge Mark Monson at the Nez Perce County Courthouse. His trial is scheduled for Feb. 20.

LaPlante along with 42-year-old Timothy Allen of Kuna; and 58-year-old Kelley Wilson of Clarkston, were all allegedly involved in the incident. According to the Nez Perce County Prosecutor’s Office, Lewiston Police officers responded to a call of an injured person July 14 in North Lewiston and found a man unconscious with multiple stab wounds.

Neither Allen or Wilson entered pleas in the case and their arraignments have been rescheduled for next Wednesday.

Allen faces a felony attempted first-degree murder charge, while Wilson, who is on parole for the 2005 murder of Charles Thrush Jr., is charged with accessory to first-degree attempted murder.
