
LC State Golf swept the Cascade Conference Rize Laboratory Golfer of the Week honors for play last week at the Beartooth Invitational. Sophomore Bryden Brown and senior Kyla Currie led the Warriors in their respective tournaments en route to the first honors of their career.
Brown had one of the best tournaments of his career last week at the Beartooth Invitational. The sophomore from Moscow, Idaho, shot two rounds under par with a 70 and 71 in the first day and finished 1-under, 215 after the three rounds. He finished third overall for his best career finish and helped the No. 20 Warrior men place second as a team.
This is the first weekly honor of Brown’s career.
Currie turned in her second straight tied-second finish, doing so in back-to-back weeks. The senior led the No. 25 Warrior women to a third-place finish at the Beartooth Invitational with round of 78-79-79 to finish with a 20-over, 236 in the field of 51.
This is the first weekly honor of Currie’s career.
The Warriors are back in action Oct. 22-23 at the Whitman Confluence Invitational for their final fall event of the season.
