A Moscow man was taken into custody after an hours-long standoff with police yesterday (Tue) morning.
Moscow Police were alerted to a report of shots fired just after 2 A.M., and reportedly heard gunfire upon arrival at the South Almon Street apartment occupied by 54-year-old Thomas Adams.
The neighboring residences were evacuated and West Park Elementary was closed for the day.
When negotiations and tear gas failed, the Latah County SWAT Team was deployed and arrested Adams who faces charges of unlawfully discharging a weapon, disturbing the peace and resisting and obstructing officers. Authorities say he could face additional charges once the investigation concludes.
