SPOKANE, WA – It is heating up this week. The National Weather Service says to take action to stay safe from the heat if you will be outdoors: hydrate, find shade, and avoid outdoor activities when possible. Don’t forget about your pets, livestock, and neighborhood critters as well. Supply them with sources of water and shade.

The National Weather Service says there is a moderate to extreme heat risk for heat-related illnesses for much of eastern Washington and northern Idaho through late this week. Along with possible record-high temperatures, fire weather concerns will increase due to breezy conditions and low relative humidity moving into the region Wednesday through Friday.
