
Ty France hit a three-run homerun in the bottom of the 8th inning and the Seattle Mariners opened the 2023 season with a 3-0 shutout win over Cleveland last night at T-Mobile Park.
France had three of the M’s 7 hits.
Luis Castillo pitched well but got a no decision for Seattle. The righthander allowed one hit with six strikeouts over six innings.
Paul Sewald and Andres Munoz combined to throw two innings of no-hit relief. Sewald got the win, while Munoz earned the save.
