LAPWAI, ID – The Spalding Visitor Center will be holding a panel presentation on March 25th at 1:00 pm. about the collaboration between the Nez Perce Tribe’s Cultural Resources Program and Washington State University to interpret Nimiipuu material culture associated with the 1877 Nez Perce War.
Panelists Nakia Williamson, Director of the Nez Perce Tribe’s Cultural Resources Program; Trevor Bond, Associate Dean, WSU Libraries; and WSU Students Nakia Cloud, Ila Pinkham, and Payton Sobotta will share their work to preserve and expand traditional Nimiipuu knowledge through the objects, documents, and photographs of the Lucullus V. McWhorter Collection.
