Avista utility customers in the Juliaetta and Kendrick areas will be without power from 10pm Wednesday night to about 4am Thursday morning.
The outage is part of a planned maintenance scheduled for the substation near Juliaetta, and it will affect an estimated 770 Avista customers.
Avista recommends preparing for the outage by making sure cellphones and mobile devices are fully charged, flashlights have working batteries, and having water and non-perishable food on hand as well as a manual can opener.
The maintenance is intended to increase power reliability in the area.
