GoFundMe Set Up For Lewiston Couple Killed in Crash South of Spokane

SPANGLE, WA – A GoFundMe has been set up for a Lewiston couple who were killed in a two-vehicle collision about seven miles south of Spokane. The Washington State Patrol says 61-year-old Eric LaVance has succumbed to his injuries while undergoing medical care following the January 3rd crash. His wife, 54-year-old Jeanette LaVance, died at the scene of the collision.

A previous press release stated that Jeanette LaVance was southbound on State Route 195 approaching milepost 77 when her 2006 Chevy Trailblazer crossed the center line and struck a northbound 2022 Freightliner M2 truck at 2:21 p.m.

Eric LaVance had been transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. The driver of the truck, 32-year-old Phillip Provoncha of Greenacres, was not injured. Seat belts were worn by all occupants.

“Both Eric and Jet worked at CCI-Speer in Lewiston, Idaho for many years. Eric retired several years ago, and Jet had planned to retire soon as well,” organizers of the GoFundMe say.
