Bald Mountain Ski Area Set to Open Day After Christmas

PIERCE, ID – Bald Mountain Ski Hill, located in Clearwater County, will open the day after Christmas. With about four feet of powder at the summit and 40″ at the base, officials say they are “ready to go!” The latest storm has delivered 16″ of new snow.
“Holiday scheduled days are Dec. 26, 27, 30, 31 and Jan. 1. 9 to 3:30. closed Dec 28, 29. Grill opens at 9am. Buses are running Dec.26, 27, 30, 31 and Jan 1. Subsequent weekends Saturdays only. Bus picks up skiers at Barney’s Supermarket 7:30am and IGA parking lot at 8am. Back to those sites at 5pm,” the ski area says. “Come and enjoy 21 runs, 140 acres and 860 vehicle feet of skiing. Rope tow and T-bar, ski rental and free instruction  on site. Daily, 5 day, 10 day and Season passes available at the hill. This year weekly themes spice things up, holiday week  is “Christmastime fun” dress up as Santa or his elves (or just a hat!) and winner gets free item at the grill!”
The Clearwater Ski Club and Idaho Ski Areas Association wants to encourage youth to get out and experience the joy of skiing. All 5th and 6th graders can ski free with the ISAA Passport Program. Click here to learn more and complete an application.
