Jason Kuzik has officially accepted and signed a final offer to become Lewiston’s next chief of police.
City officials say Kuzik signed the offer Monday after a background check and site visit were completed. He is scheduled to begin his duties October 3rd with a starting annual salary of just under $123,000.
He replaces Budd Hurd who retired in July.
Kuzik was with the Henderson, Nevada police department for 25 years, and has experience in patrol, field training, criminal investigations and crisis negotiations, and has worked as a federal task force detective and as a SWAT team member. (Lewiston Tribune)
