This year’s Lewis County Fair will be held in Cottonwood at the Idaho County Fairgrounds.
The move was necessary because the fair building that collapsed in Nezperce in January has not been replaced due factors including supply chain issues and contractor availability.
The 80-foot by 120-foot metal building collapsed under a heavy snowfall January 6th. It was the main fair livestock building and housed show arenas and livestock pens.
County commissioners say the total cost of replacing the fair building hasn’t yet been decided by the county’s insurer, the Idaho Counties Risk Management Program. (Lewiston Tribune)
