
The 5th ranked Lewis-Clark State baseball team launched 5 homers en route to an 18-9 win over Doane of Nebraska in day two of the NAIA National Opening Round Tournament presented by Avista Tuesday at Harris Field.

Nick Seamons
Sophomore Nick Seamons hit two long balls and collected 4 runs-batted-in, and seniors Aidan Nagle, Riley Way and Luke White also went deep in the win. Senior Sam Linscott added 5 hits and scored four runs.

Dawson Day
On the mound, senior Dawson Day improved to 9-0 on the season. The lefty allowed 4 runs on 4 hits with 8 strikeouts over 5 innings.
With the win, LC improves to 53-4 on the year and advanced to the championship game Wednesday where they’ll face the winner of Doane and the University of British Columbia at 2:30 p.m. A Warrior win would qualify LC for the 65th Avista NAIA World Series which begins next Friday, May 27th also at Harris Field.
