Washington State University has received a combined $20 million in donations from Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories and company founders Edmund and Beatrice Schweitzer to go toward construction of a new building on its Pullman campus.
The donation, one of the largest in the university’s history, will contribute to the construction of a new building for the Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture, called Schweitzer Engineering Hall.
School officials say the facility will serve as a central hub where engineering and design students can collaborate with faculty and each other.
WSU plans to break ground in 2024.
