Three LC State Warriors earned Cascade Conference Athlete of the Week honors for last week. Kristof Panke and Deana Caruso were named the CCC Golfers of the Week, while Aidan Nagle got the Baseball Player of the Week recognition.
Panke led the Warriors to a fourth-place finish in a stacked field at the RMC Intercollegiate at the Reflections Bay Golf Club in Henderson, Nevada. This is the second weekly honor for Panke this season. Caruso moved up five spots to a tie for seventh after the first day of the RMC Intercollegiate. This is the first weekly honor of Caruso’s career.
And Nagle helped the No. 3 Warriors power past NCAA Division II Central Washington in a midweek doubleheader on Thursday. The senior totaled five hits, including an impressive 4-for-5 performance in game two that featured a pair of home runs and seven RBI. This is the first weekly honor of Nagle’s career. The Warrior baseball team hosts the University of British Columbia this weekend in the first Cascade Conference series of the season. The four-game set is scheduled to begin on Friday at 3 p.m. (LC State News)
