Former Idaho Congressman Raul Labrador has announced his plan to run for Idaho Attorney General.

The former four-term U.S. Representative says he will “defend Idaho’s sovereignty, protect the individual rights of Idaho’s citizens, fight back against the Biden Administration’s destructive policies, and ensure conservative legislators have a true partner in the Attorney General’s office.”

Labrador joins Coeur d’Alene attorney and self-described constitutionalist Art Macomber in the Attorney General race.

Idaho’s current attorney general, Lawrence Wasden, is the longest-serving AG in state history. He was first elected in 2002. He hasn’t announced whether he intends to run for reelection.
