Health officials reported 5 more coronavirus-related deaths Wednesday.
Four deaths were in north central Idaho. One each in Nez Perce County, Latah County, Clearwater County and Lewis County. The other COVID-related death was in Whitman County.
The region reported a combined 69 new coronavirus infections.
In north central Idaho: Latah County had the highest number of new cases with 21; Nez Perce County had 14 new infections; there were 11 new cases in Idaho County; 5 in Lewis County; and Clearwater County added 1 new virus infection.
In southeastern Washington: Asotin County saw its number of new cases rise by 9; Whitman County added 6; and Garfield County reported 2 new coronavirus infections on Wednesday. (Lewiston Tribune)
