Health officials reported 93 combined new coronavirus cases in the region and one death.
In north central Idaho: Nez Perce County had the highest number of new infections with 26; Latah County reported 17 new cases, and one COVID-related death. The region has now had 23 virus deaths already in the month of October. Idaho County’s new cases grew by 6, Clearwater County had three; and Lewis County reported 2 new coronavirus cases.
In southeastern Washington: Whitman County saw its number of new infections climb by 26; Asotin County added 10 new cases; and Garfield County reported 3 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday. (Lewiston Tribune)
