Avista Utilities has scheduled a planned power outage that will affect more than 600 customers in the Elk City and surrounding areas this Friday.
The planned outage will begin at 8 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. Avista crews will perform maintenance and replace aging infrastructure in the area. The routine maintenance will increase reliability and reduce future outages in the area.
Motorists will be limited to one lane on Idaho State Highway 14, between mile marker 38 and 39 and traffic control will be in place.
