Firefighters are responding to the Rocky Top Fire burning near Rocky Top Lane in the Lapwai area.
The fire started at approximately 5:45 p.m. on Saturday and is currently estimated at 10 acres in size. The fire is under the protection of the Idaho Department of Lands Craig Mountain Forest Protective District.
One structure has been lost, and other structures are threatened.
Current containment is 0%, and an estimated containment date is not yet known. A cause of the fire has not been released.
Cooperating agencies include the Nez Perce Tribe, Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office, Clearwater-Potlatch Timber Protective Association and county rural fire departments.
