
The Nez Perce County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the body found Sunday in the Clearwater River near Cherry Lane as that of missing kayaker Samuel Mobley.
Mobley’s vehicle was located near the Pink House Recreation Site near Orofino on June 17th.
The Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search for Mobley but were unsuccessful in locating the 29-year-old Lewis-Clark State College nursing student.
His body was discovered Sunday downriver near the Cherry Lane Bridge. An official cause of death is pending the completion of an autopsy.
