Several local taxing districts are coming together to answer your questions. An open house called “Let’s Talk Taxes” is going to bring groups together at Lewiston High School June 25th from 3:30pm – 7pm. Nez Perce County, the City of Lewiston, the Lewiston School District, Central Orchards Sewer District, and the Port of Lewiston will all be there with answers about how property taxes work, how they’re calculated, and where they go.
If you’re going, you should take your most recent property tax assessment or a previous tax bill get personalized assistance. You can also submit your questions early to be sure they’re ready to answer by e-mailing pio@cityoflewiston.org.
