At about 8:00 last night Whitman County Deputies were advised of a vehicle entering the county on Highway 127 near Central Ferry. Reports from the Sheriff’s Office say it had been involved in pursuits with Lewiston Police Officers, Asotin County Deputies, and Garfield County Deputies.

A release from the Sheriff’s Office says 25-year-old Clarkston resident SodaPop J. Dunn was found in Whitman County and deputies observed the vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. The release goes on to say they tried to stop the vehicle, but Dunn failed to yield to law enforcement. Officers deployed spike strips at the Colfax City Limits, stopping the vehicle, but the driver had to be forcibly removed after failing to comply with commands.

Dunn was booked into jail on charges of Felony Eluding, Driving with a Suspended License, Resisting Arrest, and Obstruction.
