Kids lined up to get pretend hard hats and swag at the Annual Public Works Expo today. Teams from all over the valley entertained kids while sneaking in some education about how things work that keep the LC Valley moving and comfortable. Visitors to the Nez Perce County Fairgrounds got to see heavy machinery, plumbing demonstrations, examples of how wastewater is treated and returned to the river, and a lot more.
The Expo was part of a nationwide observance honoring leaders in Public Works. This year’s theme is, “Rooted in Service, Powered by Community.
