Lucas Giolito and three relief pitchers combined on a one-hitter and the San Diego Padres beat the Seattle Mariners 8-3 yesterday (Sun) at T-Mobile Park.
Gavin Sheets homered and drove in four runs and former Mariner Ty France also went deep and had 3 runs-batted-in for San Diego.
Luke Raley recorded Seattle’s lone hit.
George Kirby took the loss for the Mariners. The right-hander allowed 6 runs on 6 hits with 6 strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings.
