Mason Goodson threw a two-hit shutout in a 7 inning complete game 10-0 win over Hope International, California tonight (Tue) at Harris Field on Day Two of the NAIA National Opening Round Baseball Tournament – presented by Avista at Harris Field.
Offensively, Jackson Reed continued his hot hitting in the tournament with a 3 for 3 showing at the plate that included a triple and a double and 3 runs-batted-in, and Bryce Johnson was 2 for 3 with an RBI while scoring four runs.
The Warriors improve to 43-7 and advance to the tournament championship game tomorrow (Wed) night at 6 p.m. where they will face the winner of tomorrow’s 2:30 p.m. elimination game between Keiser, Florida and Hope International. LC State has a two-for-one shot at advancing to the Avista NAIA World Series for the first time in 3 years.
