Grangeville’s Main Street is getting an upgrade. Road construction starts Monday on the stretch that spans most of town between Idaho Avenue and Mt Idaho Road. During construction, traffic will be down to one lane with flaggers giving drivers the go-ahead. If you use Main Street, you should plan for delays while crews are working.
Crews are grinding and repaving specific sections of the roadway to improve driving conditions and extend the life of the pavement. A release from the Idaho Transportation Department says work should only impact business fronts for about a day each.
They expect the project to be complete in mid-May.
