Governor Brad Little signed a bill into law that more-clearly defines where a sex offender can live. It adds the term “Habitually lives” to make things more restrictive and define limitations for homeless offenders.
The new definition includes any place where that person lives, sleeps, or visits for more than 5 hours more than 5 times per month. It changes the word “residence” to include the sleeping and visiting qualifications.
The law takes effect July 1st.
