The work on Snake River Avenue has hit a few bumps along the way and is taking longer than expected. Crews anticipated opening the portion under construction this afternoon, but the new date is next week. Signs have been changed around the closure to next Friday (April 3rd) as the new end date.
The original expected completion date of the sewer main replacement project was March 19th. An explanation from the City of Lewiston says they hit problems with shifting dirt that required extra time for safety and a full road closure. When that happened the date also shifted to March 27th.
