
The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality is seeking representatives to fill six vacancies on the Potlatch River Watershed Advisory Group. The group is currently seeking representation from the following interest areas: Environmental; Recreation; Point Source Dischargers; Forestry; Mining; and Local Government.
The Potlatch River Water Advisory Group is comprised of a group of citizens dedicated to the successful restoration and protection of the Potlatch River and corresponding tributaries. The watershed includes portions of southeast Latah County encompassing the townships of Bovill, Deary, Troy, Juliaetta, and Kendrick, as well as a part of northwest Clearwater County and northeast Nez Perce County. The group seeks to have representation from all areas of the watershed.
The group advises DEQ on water quality improvement plans called total maximum daily loads and provides guidance on how to implement water quality improvements in those watersheds.
