| KANSAS CITY, Mo. – LC State Baseball moved up five spots to No. 7 in the NAIA on Wednesday after a sweep of Oregon Tech. The Warriors are 18-3 on the season and are one game back of the top spot in the Cascade Conference standings with a 10-3 record.
LC State is 6-1 since the previous poll with a 2-1 series win at Bushnell (Ore.) and a four-game sweep of OIT. The Warriors are home this weekend after two weeks on the road to host Corban (Ore.) in a four-game CCC series.
The Warriors lead the CCC in batting average (.318), on-base percentage (.432), slugging (.482), ERA (3.08) and WHIP (1.16). The ERA ranks third in the NAIA and second in WHIP. Landon Webb is second in the conference in ERA (2.70), and Jackson Cloud is third (2.77). Cloud ranks third in wins (4) and Evan Canfield is fifth in strikeouts (31). Offensively, Brandon Nguyen is fifth in slugging (.632) and Izzy Madariaga is fifth in on-base percentage (.495).
