New Law Says License Plates Don’t Expire If Legible

If your Idaho license plate is legible, you won’t have to replace it any more. Idaho law used to require a new plate every 10 years. Governor Little signed House Bill 577 into law yesterday (Tues) that takes out the 10-year clause.  As long as your plate is in good shape, you can continue to use it. Little already signed the bill into law that removes the need for renewal stickers on license plates.

Both laws take effect on July 1st of this year.
