Clearwater County, Orofino Declare Emergency Disaster

Clearwater County and the City of Orofino have declared an Emergency Disaster for the recent flooding. The declaration could make emergency funds available. The city of Orofino posted on Facebook today (Weds) that they’re awaiting guidance on possible funding assistance to affected residents and property owners.

They’re asking residents to document all property damage with photos and written descriptions, keep all receipts and bills related to flood damage and recovery costs, and to track all expenses that are incurred because of the flooding. If a relief program becomes available, you’ll need all those things.

They also ask that you remain vigilant for mudslides, falling trees, and other hazards that can still happen as a result of the storm.
