If you’re considering running for an office in Nez Perce County, now’s the time to get your name in the hat. The candidate filing period for the May 19th election opened today (Mar 2nd).
Your Declaration and Petition of Candidacy forms must be filed with the County Clerk , except for the Port Commissioner District. You can file that one at the Port District office. Candidates can get the forms at the county Clerk’s office in the new courthouse. You must have your forms in by 5pm on March 13th.
If you’re planning to be a write-in candidate, you must file a declaration of intent no later than 5pm on March 20th.
