Work on the water main in downtown Lewiston begins the week of March 9th. A press release from the city says they’ll start on 3rd Street between D and Beachey streets. Once that’s done in mid-April, they’ll move to D street between 1st and 3rd streets. That part of the project should be done in June.
During the first phase, 3rd Street will be closed. During the work on D Street, traffic will be down to one lane with reduced parking.
Crews will be working Monday through Friday 7am to 5:30pm.
