A trailer full of logs rolled on top of a Valley County patrol vehicle with deputies inside. Yesterday (Thurs) morning deputies were east of Cascade on Warm Lake Road for report of a tree that had fallen across the road. They were blocking the southbound traffic while the road department worked to remove the tree.
A press release from the Sheriff’s Office says a loaded logging truck came up from behind the patrol car and couldn’t stop because of the ice. It collided with the car with two deputies inside. The trailer tipped over and landed on the car. The deputies sustained minor injuries and were able to get out the passenger’s side. They were taken to the hospital for evaluation. The Idaho State Police is investigating the crash.
