Avista will complete scheduled infrastructure work overnight tomorrow (Thurs) night requiring a temporary road closure and traffic re-route near the intersection of First Street and Main Street in Lewiston. Work will begin at 6 p.m. tomorrow night and conclude by approximately 4 a.m. Friday.
During the closure, westbound traffic from Lewiston across the Interstate-Blue Bridge will be closed. Westbound vehicles will be re-routed south on Snake River Avenue and directed to the Southway Bridge. Traffic traveling from Clarkston to Lewiston via the Interstate/Blue Bridge will not be impacted.
Avista will be replacing power poles along First Avenue and Main Street. A small number of customers may experience a brief planned power outage during construction. All impacted customers have been notified.
Avista crews will be working overnight to minimize disruption. The work is part of Avista’s ongoing efforts to update equipment and maintain reliable electrical service in the region.
