LC State Men’s Basketball Jumps into NAIA Top 25

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – After a huge road sweep in Oregon and two big wins at home, LC State Men’s Basketball broke into the NAIA Top 25. The Warriors are the highest ranked team in the Cascade Conference at No. 22.

 

LC State went 4-0 since the last poll with wins over Southern Oregon, then-No. 22 Oregon Tech, Walla Walla (Wash.) and Warner Pacific (Ore.).

 

The Warriors lead the CCC in 3-point percentage defense (30.5) and scoring defense (67.0) and are second in 3-point percentage (36.3). The scoring defense mark ranks sixth in the NAIA. Grayson Hunt is second in field goal percentage (56.6) and John Lustig is fourth in field goal percentage (56.3) and fifth in rebounding (7.2).

 

Around the Cascade Conference, the Warriors are the lone team in the Top 25. Oregon Tech and Eastern Oregon are receiving votes.

LC State plays its final road games of the regular season this weekend at Evergreen (Wash.) and Northwest (Wash.).
