
Idaho’s average price for a gallon of regular gasoline is slightly up this week, but still well below prices from this time a year ago.
According to the American Automobile Association, today’s average price for a gallon of regular in the Gem State is $2.78 per gallon, which is a penny more than a week ago, but 14 cents less than a month ago and 25 cents cheaper than a year ago.
The national average currently sits at $2.82 per gallon, marking another unusual week with Idaho prices below the U.S. average. Today’s price is the same as a week ago, four cents less than a month ago, and about 30 cents less than a year ago.
Of Idaho’s largest cities, Twin Falls has the state’s highest-average price for a gallon of regular at $2.93, while Coeur d’Alene has the state’s lowest-average price at $2.44. Lewiston’s average price is currently $2.67.
