A new bill would make it clear who’s paying someone to gather signatures on a political petition. House Bill 501 would change current state law to require anyone getting reimbursement to tell you verbally that he or she is being paid and by whom. That person would also have to wear a badge clearly stating who’s paying. The bill also removes the need to be an Idaho resident to get signatures. It also removes the need to be at least 18 years old.
