Washington Representatives are considering dropping the drunk driving alcohol level. House Bill 2362 would drop the .08 illegal blood alcohol concentration to .05. Law enforcement officers would continue to have two hours to check your level.
Writers of the bill cite the standard of .05 throughout most of the world and an average decrease of fatalities involving alcohol-impaired driving by 11% annually.
The bill is scheduled for a public hearing tomorrow at 8am.
