Deputies from the Whitman County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence in Endicott, Tuesday evening, recovering several thousand dollars’ worth of stolen property, some of which is believed to be linked to a series of recent car prowls in Pullman.
According to a news release, acting on information initially provided by the Pullman Police Department, deputies were able to identify possible suspects believed to be responsible for multiple property crimes in Pullman in late December. Those incidents involved the theft of valuable items from vehicles, with the suspects allegedly posting the stolen goods for sale on social media platforms.
During the service of the search warrant, deputies recovered electronics, tools, and other high-value items matching descriptions from the reported thefts. As a result, 33-year-old Christopher J. Dehague of Endicott was booked into the Whitman County jail on multiple charges, including Possession of Stolen Property, Trafficking Stolen Property, and Identity Theft. Dehague, a convicted felon, has a lengthy criminal history that includes prior convictions for property crimes in the Tri-Cities area.
The case is still under active investigation with the Pullman Police Department and the Whitman County Sheriff’s Office and additional charges are expected.
