Jeffrey Decker says after being a Bengal, graduating in 2005, and then a Vandal, he was ready for Hollywood. He tells us he packed up his car and headed to Vegas. Then after he realized that wasn’t going to work, he packed up again and headed to Los Angeles. Now he’s been in several movies, and his next is premiering this Friday right here in Lewiston. Several scenes of the film were shot in the LC Valley, including one in the Rogers Motors car wash. Decker says after shooting a fight scene in there all night, they ran into some trouble.

So much water had slicked-up the pavement outside of the car wash exit, that I took a huge spill, tore my shoulder up, but we actually caught it on camera, so it’s in the film.”

Decker says if you watch closely, you may see other locations you recognize in Lewiston, Coeur d’Alene, and Spokane.

The movie premiere is open to everyone with a ticket. It’s at 7:15pm on Friday at Village Center Cinemas. Afterward there will be a Q&A with Decker as well as time for photos.

I didn’t realize how many friends and friends-of-friends I had in the area until we put the word out about filming The Green River Killer. So many people came out to help us, so I’m assuming a lot of those people will want to come watch this movie too.”

The Green River Killer is his next project. It was also shot locally, and may also make the local cinema when it’s released.
