If you’re like many people and some of your Christmas presents are coming via delivery, the Asotin Police Department is reminding you to keep an eye on them. Chief Monte Renzelman is sending out a reminder that modern-day grinches may be lurking and waiting to snatch up your deliveries.
He recommends using a secure internet connection, don’t use public Wifi,
Review your bank and credit card records regularly for unauthorized transactions,
If you can, schedule deliveries for when you’re home, or team up with your neighbors to watch each other’s packages,
And he reminds citizens to watch for scam delivery notifications and shipping confirmations. Scams often look just like legitimate messages.
