Approximately 1,015 Avista electric customers in Moscow, Troy, and Deary will experience a planned power outage this Wednesday. The planned outage will start at 4:30 a.m. and end at approximately 5:30 a.m.
Impacted customers are located along Highway 8 corridor, including areas near Granlund Road, Clay Pit Road, Linderman Road, Auslam Road, and Spring Valley Road in Troy, as well as Little Bear Ridge Road and Nora Creek Road. In Moscow, affected areas include Kasper Road, Teare Road, Reams Road, Canyon Road, Cornwall Road, and Juliene Way, along with nearby neighborhoods. In Deary, customers along Old Highway 8, Mount Deary Creek Road, Olson Loop, Pleasant Hill Road, and Gun Club Road will be impacted.
The westbound lane of Highway 8 near 3390 Highway 8 in Moscow will be reduced to one lane with flaggers beginning at 7 a.m.
During the outage Avista crews will be performing maintenance on and updating equipment and infrastructure to increase the safety and reliability of its system.
