The Asotin County Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant for the arrest of 28-year-old Samuel D. Reeves. He’s wanted for 1st Degree Homicide, 1st Degree Arson, 1st degree Assault, and Witness Intimidation.
A press release from the Office says the charges come from the investigation of the suspicious death of 48-year-old Michael Odom. They say on July 29th, 2023 Odom’s house on Grande Ronde Road burned down and his remains were found inside.
The release goes on to say an extensive, 2-year investigation by the Sheriff’s Office culminated in the charges after a witness came forward with details regarding tree homicide and the arson fire.
Reeves is currently in the Tillamook County Jail in Oregon on unrelated charges. The office says he will be extradited to Asotin County to face the new charges.
