The Idaho State Police (ISP) is investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred on Friday, at approximately 5 p.m. on northbound US Highway 95 and D Street in Plummer.
According to a news release, witnesses indicate a pickup truck was traveling northbound on US Highway 95 when it struck a female pedestrian in the roadway and failed to stop. The vehicle reportedly turned around and drove southbound on US Highway 95.
Life-saving measures were attempted on the pedestrian, but she succumbed to her injuries.
Through continued investigation, troopers identified the involved vehicle as a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado LT (Washington plate D71892H) registered to a residence in Spokane, Washington. The registered owner has not been confirmed as the driver.
Troopers and local law enforcement are working to locate the vehicle and determine who was involved in the crash.
ISP continues to seek the public’s help to gather additional information about the crash or to determine the vehicle’s current location. Anyone with information is asked to call the ISP Regional Communication Center at 208-209-8730.
