KANSAS CITY, Mo. – LC State Women’s Cross Country is headed to the NAIA Cross Country National Championships for the 25th consecutive year, announced by the NAIA on Tuesday. Kobe Wessels will represent the LC State men’s program as an individual. A total of 36 men’s teams and 36 women’s teams, along with 74 individuals, will race at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Fla., on Nov. 21.

The Warrior women, ranked No. 24 in the NAIA, earned a fourth-place finish at the competitive Cascade Conference Cross Country Championships, presented by U.S. Bank, led by Damaris Kibiwot in eighth place individually. LC State returns its top four finishers from last year’s national meet.

Wessels finished 14th at the CCC meet as part of a stacked field to earn his individual bid to the national race. He placed third among runners from teams that did not qualify for nationals to solidify his spot in Tallahassee.

A full preview of the meet will be available closer to race day.
