| LEWISTON, Idaho – Lewis-Clark State Men’s Basketball, receiving votes in the NAIA poll, earned its first victory of the season with a 103-57 win over Northwest Indian College on Wednesday. The Warriors had 55 points off the bench in a contest where every player scored, highlighted by the freshmen duo of Carter Hansen and Jaaziel Pierce.
Hansen led the contest with 20 points including four 3-pointers while Pierce grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds in their collegiate debut.
“A lot of positives tonight for our guys,” head coach Austin Johnson said. “We got contributions up and down our roster. Brandon (Suber) helped set the tone with his point guard play. It was good to see Dylan (Skaife) hit some early 3-pointers and I thought Carter and Trevor (Manning) were a big boost off the bench. We will keep working to improve and get ready for a big road trip next week.”
